Born & educated in Alberta, Brian received his ACA diploma from the Alberta College of Art, Calgary in 1969. He received his BFA from the University of Calgary in 1976 majoring in both painting and drawing.

He served as the Director of the Visual Communications & Fine Arts department of the Medicine Hat College from 1976-1981.He has maintained his commitment to painting through private commissions since his departure as an art educator in 1982.

Brian has work in over 45 private and corporate collections in Canada and the USA. He has been featured in several cross-Canada juried exhibitions most notable Spectrum Canada, an exhibition juried and sponsored by the Royal Canadian Academy of Art.
