Maja Padrov was born in Novi Sad, Serbia, and moved to Canada in 1997. She graduated from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, Fredericton in 2001.
She has a studio practice in Gagetown, New Brunswick, and works as a part-time instructor at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design.
Her work has been shown nationally and internationally, most recently in Italy, Spain and Taiwan.
She has received several awards and grants for creation, travel and professional development from the New Brunswick Arts Board and Canada Council for the Arts. Most recently she was the 2018 recipient of the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation (SHMF), 2018 Marie Hélène Allain
