Janice Mason Steeves was born in Saskatchewan, and raised in Edmonton, Alberta.
Janice holds both a Bachelor of Arts, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manitoba. Later she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Ontario College of Art and Design. She was a practicing psychologist before pursuing a career in art.
She is represented in many public and private collections both in Canada and internationally, including The Government of Ontario Art Collection, Gallery Stratford, The Schulich School of Business (York University), CIBC World Markets (London), First Gulf, Intrawest Corporation, the Senvest Collection (Montreal) and Cenovus Energy (Calgary).
Janice Mason Steeves is represented by galleries in Canada and the U.S., with work in public, corporate, and private collections in Canada and internationally. Janice leads an active one-on-one Art Mentoring program, and teaches painting workshops in Canada, the U.S., and Europe. She has also been awarded artist residencies in Spain, Ireland, Sweden, and Iceland.
